AI-Optimised Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

The rapid growth of electric vehicles creates a network-design problem with competing stakeholders: charging network operators, EV drivers, electricity grid operators, and city planners. This project applies atomic congestion games and game-theoretic equilibrium analysis to find charging station placements and pricing strategies that form stable, efficient equilibria.

Research addresses joint placement and pricing decisions, strategic infrastructure design in competitive markets, and the welfare implications of different regulatory frameworks. Applications target smart city planning in the UK and Europe.
